Riding the Rails: Pablo Beach Train Day

Presented by the Beaches Museum & History Park, Riding the Rails: Pablo Beach Train Day will celebrate all things trains on Saturday, September 9, from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Activities will include three operating model train layouts and demonstrations of antique toys.  Tours of the Museum’s 1911 steam locomotive, the 1900 Florida East Coast Foreman’s House, and the Mayport Depot will also be available during this event.

Operation Lifesaver will demonstrate train safety and offer goodies for the kids.  A small scale trackless train will run through the area from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

A key note speaker will discuss local train history in the historic Beaches Museum Chapel.

Boy Scout Troop #37 will be selling hamburgers and hotdogs as local musicians play live music from days-gone-by.
