September 5, 2024 - 7:00 pm -9:00 pm
The Beaches Museum Concert Series will continue it’s 2024 concert schedule with Jeffery Broussard and the Creole Cowboys’ Zydeco on Thursday, September 5 at 7:00 p.m.
Jeffery Broussard is a drummer, an accordionist, a fiddler, and a singer. A multi-instrumentalist master of the Zydeco genre, Broussard grew up playing drums in his father’s and brother’s bands. He began singing for the band Zydeco Force, and adopted the fiddle when he realized that only five traditional Zydeco fiddlers remained. Broussard is passionately dedicated to preserving and promoting the Creole culture with traditional and original Zydeco music in a commitment to his father’s legacy. He aims to bring the older generation of Creoles nostalgia and recognition with his music and hopes that his performances spark interest in the Zydeco genre among younger audiences.
The series, now in its 10th year, has featured a wide variety of musical genres, nationally and internationally known artists, and award-winning music. The Chapel Concerts benefit the Beaches Museum.
Check-in and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7:00 p.m. No physical tickets will be issued but your name will be on the list at check-in. Thank you for your support!
