The Beaches Museum Concert Series will kick off the 2025 concert schedule with Verlon Thompson on Tuesday, February 4 at 7:00 p.m.
Verlon Thompson is a renowned songwriter, guitarist, and composer. Cut from the same Oklahoma plains cloth as legends Woodie Guthrie and Jimmy Webb, Thompson’s compositions have been recorded by the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Rogers, and many more. His work with longtime co-collaborator Guy Clark on Cold Dog Soup has yielded a Grammy nomination.
As a traveling troubadour, Verlon has viewed the world from stages everywhere from Barcelona to his hometown of Binger. He has spent thirty years as a touring soloist and professional songwriter.
The Chapel Concert series, now in its 10th year, has featured a wide variety of musical genres, nationally and internationally known artists, and award-winning music. The Chapel Concerts benefit the Beaches Museum.
Check-in and refreshments begin at 6:30 p.m. and the show will start at 7:00 p.m. No physical tickets will be issued but your name will be on the list at check-in. Thank you for your support!
